Karma and the way I look at it!!

Today was one of those boring days,I had nothing to do,there was nothing to watch on the television(no movies,no sitcoms, nothing). Finally i decided to watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S on star world. Yeah i Know F.R.I.E.N.D.S is an amazing show,But after watching every single episode atleast 14 times,It does kindda get boring.Anyways I was watching the show when suddenly "the next program" box popped up.The next show was,"My name is Earl".For those of you who dont know about the show,Here is some information:The series stars Jason Lee, Ethan Suplee, Jaime Pressly, Eddie Steeples and Nadine Velazquez. Lee stars in the title role as "Earl J. Hickey", a petty crook with occasional run-ins with the law, whose newly won $100,000 lottery ticket is lost when he is hit by a car. While lying in his hospital bed after the accident, he develops a belief in the concept of karma when he hears about it during an episode of Last Call with Carson Daly. He decides he wants to turn his life around and makes a list of all the bad things he's ever done. After doing his first good deed, he finds his $100,000 lottery ticket. He sees this as a sign and, with his new lucky money, he proceeds to cross items off the list, one-by-one, by doing good deeds to atone for them.

nice eh?The show is all about "KARMA".After the show I started Thinking about Karma. What is karma?we have been listening about this Karma thing ever since we were little kids(dont do this,Its a bad Karma,Dot fight with others-Bad Karma,Help others-Good Karma). So what really is Karma?Does God Really send People with bad Karma to hell?Nobody is Perfect,And we all would have committed bad karma some time or the other,So are we all going to Be sent off to Hell?are the gates of heaven closed for us?All these Questions got me thinking on this Karma subject,When suddenly out of the blue a thought struck me.What if Karma is not something that sends us to heaven or hell?To me Karma is this Chain that determines if you are going to LIVE a happy or a sad life.Any good thing that you do,You forget it in a day or two,But do something bad and you wont forget it for the rest of your life.Every bad Thing you do links up with the earlier bad thing that you did.All the sins you commit(Bad Karma) link up and Form this heavy chain in your head which starts to weigh you down.Buried under This Heavy chain,Everything around you starts looking ugly to you,And any place with ugly things all around you sure sounds like hell.So going to temples or churches and praying for your sins is not going to decide if your going to heaven or hell, its the way you think which is going to decide if you are going to LIVE in heaven or hell,And this to me is Karma.Stop doing all the things that you think are bad and make you feel guilty.Dont let the guilt in you link up and form a chain.Do good thing which make you and others around you happy.Cause happiness is the only thing which can break down the ugly chain of guilt.

But what if there really was something like good and bad karma?(not saying that there isnt.but I seriously don think that someone who created the beautiful world can send anyone to Hell).Anyways Ill give you something to think about. You all would have heard the saints and the holly men say that all living things are of the same importance right?Kill a man or kill a fly,its one and the same,Bad Karma.Thats why Jain monks are not allowed to wear slippers,Because they may kill an Insect under their feet.ok,So here is an interesting situation.

Mike and Tom were lost in a forest.they both had a gun with them because they had come to the forest for hunting.Mike was tired,So he was walking slow and was around 5 meters behind Tom.Suddenly Mike saw that a Tiger was creeping behind Tom,Ready to pounce on him and kill Him.So Mike took out his gun and shot the Tiger dead.Ok,So now tell me,What does this result to?Mike killed a living thing(Bad Karma) to save the life of another(Good Karma).Got you thinking??I f you figure out and explanation then lemme know. :)

ok with this I think ill conclude my entry on KARMA.

P.S: Watch "My Name is Earl" if possible. The show is just plain hilarious! ^_^
